- Books circulate for four weeks and can be renewed five times.
- Library materials can be recalled at any time which can shorten due dates by up to two weeks.

Renewing In Person
Books may be renewed at the Circulation Desk any time the Library is open. Library hours can be found here.
Renewing by Telephone
Books may be renewed by phone. Call 617-432-2136. You will be asked to provide your ID number and the book barcode. The book barcode can be found either on the back cover of the book or inside the back cover.
Renewing by Email
Books may be renewed by email by providing your Harvard ID number and the title and barcode number of each book you wish to renew in an email message to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Renewing Interlibrary Loan Books
Books that are Interlibrary Loan books from non-Harvard libraries may be renewed through your Interlibrary Loan account online (ILLiad). From the main menu, chose "view/renew" on the right panel, and choose the item to renew.
Call 617-432-2631 with the TN (transaction number) and your Harvard ID number to renew by phone.
